ABOVE VIDEO: According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, an unknown black male suspect entered the Kangaroo Express located at 3164 W. Main Street in Mims, vaulted the counter, brandished a handgun and demanded money.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, an unknown black male suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 inches tall, and wearing all dark clothing and a black ski mask.

The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of currency before departing the store, where he was observed entering an awaiting vehicle driven by another male.

The suspect’s vehicle was then observed by deputies in the area of Hammock Road in Mims. The suspects fled from the vehicle into a wooded area where 20-year-old LeQuan Irell Mayo of Cocoa was arrested.

Mayo, the driver of the vehicle, was charged with Principle to Armed Robbery and is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a no bond status.
