BUSINESSES MUST BE PREPARED TO RESPOND TO CRISIS
When the unexpected happens in the workplace, the need to communicate is immediate. A critical step in being prepared is having a crisis communications plan in place before the unexpected happens.
Businesses must be prepared to respond quickly, accurately and confidently as a situation unfolds–and in the days and weeks to follow. Employees need a clear vision about what to do, where to go, and who is (and is not) responsible for communicating vital information to the press, in social media channels, and in public forums as a situation is unfolding.
For more than 25 years, the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association has been promoting and developing the public relations profession. Its membership is one of the most diverse in the state with multiple levels of experience and differing areas of expertise.
From non-profits to high tech companies, the Space Coast Chapter offers a wide array of professional networking opportunities, professional development programs and community service projects.
The cost for the January meeting is $20 for Florida Public Relations Association members, $25 for non-members and $15 for students. Registration and networking begin at 8 a.m. and the program starts at 9 a.m.
