BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island boys soccer team shut out Sunlake 1-0 to advance to the Class 3A state finals against Choctawatchee tonight at 8 p.m.

The game’s only goal was scored in the first half by the Mustang’s Scott Behrhorst, with an assist by Parker Duncan.
The Choctawatchee Indians, who traveled to Melbourne from the Panhandle, defeated Archbishop McCarthy 2-1 in their semifinal game.
Eastern Florida State College’s new Melbourne Campus soccer facility is the host site of both the FHSAA girls and boys state championship semifinals and finals.
BRIGHT HOUSE SPORTS NETWORK WILL CARRY STATE FINALS
Bright House Sports Network will carry the state finals live on channel 47 and HD channel 1147. The finals also will air on Cox Sports Television and Comcast Charter Sports Southeast.
