Driver Arrested for DUI in Fatal Accident

Charges Upgraded to DUI Manslaughter
PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA — Florida Highway Patrol arrested Jennifer Dusan, 43 of Merritt Island for driving under the influence during a fatal accident in Port St. John. Dusan was traveling in her 2002 Ford Mustang in the right turn lane on Fay Blvd, attempting to travel south on US 1.
Jerrick Clarington, 21 of Titusville was traveling northbound, in the inside lane traveling of US-1. Dusan failed to negotiate the right turn and Clarington lost control of Vehicle 1. Vehicle traveled into the northbound lanes and the front of Dusan’s Mustang struck into the left, front side of Clarington’s. Clarington suffered minor injuries and his passenger, whose name hasn’t been disclosed, was killed in the accident.
Duasn was arrested for DUI at the scene of the crash.
