Three Arrested, Suspected of Carjacking Cocoa Woman

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Three suspects are in custody and charged with armed carjacking after an incident on Wednesday in Cocoa involving a 63 year-old woman.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Jontavius Syron Richardson, 28, Jon’Travio Shamari Wynn, 19, and Angel Max Rivera, 20, approached the victim in front of 3635 Catalina Drive in Cocoa, and demanded her purse and car keys.
The exact details leading to the incident is still unknown as the the victim was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center where she underwent surgery for her injuries.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects fled the area in the victims car. A witness who heard a gunshot relayed the vehicle information to the Sheriff’s Office, allowing Deputies and Officers from the Titusville Police Department to locate the vehicle on I-95, just south of Garden Street in Titusville.

All three suspects were removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. The suspects are being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond pending further charges. All three suspects are residents of Cocoa.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the victim is in stable condition and the investigation is ongoing.
