BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Advisory Board Members met at Wuesthoff – Rockledge recently to discuss and plan for their upcoming DGF Gala events this fall.
The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation will join the diverse array of medical-centric special events during Space Coast Medicine & Active Living magazine’s “Space Coast Medicine Week,” set for Nov. 3-8, 2014 at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place.
“This is an exciting time for the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation as it further grows to serve our community,” said Dr.Kanti Bhalani, DGF Founder. “We are looking forward to helping more local students and organizations.”
Planned for Saturday, Nov. 8, is the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Expo, Health Fair and CME Event; and the 1st Annual Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Ambassador Awards Gala. The Doctors’ Expo will include a Health Fair from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., followed by a free Continuing Medical Education (CME) event with 4 available CME’s: E-FORCSE – Florida’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Database; 2 CME’s for Medication Errors and 1 CME for Electronic Health Records.
DOCTORS’ GOODWILL AMBASSADORS RECOGNITION
The Doctors Goodwill Foundation, in collaboration with Space Coast Medicine & Active Living magazine, will present the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Ambassador Awards Gala on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Melbourne Hilton Rialto.
The event will include dinner and feature a special multimedia program honoring and recognizing the people and organizations that have contributed so much to the successful efforts of the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation.
Since it’s inception, the Doctors Goodwill Foundation has raised more than $1,000,000 for charities both in Brevard and around the world.
One of Brevard’s most prolific philanthropic organizations, the DGF’s mission is to provide medical assistance in Brevard and around the world to those in need, and offer scholarships to students pursuing a career in health care.
The DGF’s exciting new “PASS” initiative is also being introduced to assist in the transfer and exchange of important information to help those in need.
The Doctors Goodwill Foundation is led by some of the most active and philanthropically-minded members of the Brevard medical community, including executive officers Kantilal Bhalani MD (founder), Naren Shah, MS, SCORE (executive director), Kiran Modi, MD (treasurer), Sumant Pandya, MD (chairperson), and Denis Perez, MD (secretary).
