BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Dr. Richard Levine of Space Coast Cancer Center, and the members of the Brevard County Unit of United Order True Sisters (UOTS), celebrated 30 years of collaboration.
Since 1983, Sylvia Shapiro, past president of UOTS, and Dr. Levine, president of Space Coast Cancer Center, have worked together to facilitate obtaining free mammograms and clinical examinations for women who do not have health insurance or financial resources.
All the physicians of Space Coast Cancer Center volunteer to see patients upon referral from UOTS to assist them in obtaining mammograms at the local hospitals.
The Space Coast Cancer Center physicians and staff also follow up with the patient if there is any abnormality, and provide treatment and monitoring if breast cancer is diagnosed at no cost to the patient.
For information about UOTS contact Sylvia Shapiro at 321-773-0591. If you would like further information regarding Space Coast Cancer Center call toll free 855-894-HOPE (4673) or visit www.SpaceCoastCancer.com
