BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Health First is proud to announce May as Health First Integrated Delivery Network Month and will be celebrating its associates for their dedication to supporting the system’s mission to positively change the health and well-being of the community it serves.
“While there are many national observances dedicated to honoring hospitals, providers and specific illnesses, we realized there was not a month celebrating Integrated Delivery Networks,” said Health First President & CEO Steve Johnson.
“The creation of Health First IDN Month is a reflection of the future of healthcare. We focus on the health and wellness of our community, as well as providing care to all people, regardless of their ability to pay,” said Johnson.
As an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), we are able to provide the right care at the right place and at the right time in a seamless continuum of care.
Through nationally recognized health insurance plans, four hospitals, multi-physician specialty group and extensive outpatient and wellness services, Health First provides care for the people in our communities through all phases of life.
As a locally operated health insurance company, Health First Health Plans serves as the integrator of our IDN. The Health Plan ensures that care focuses on prevention and wellness and when care is needed it occurs swiftly and in exactly the right clinical setting. Health First is working to change the model of health care from sick care to what it should be: prevention and wellness.
