Sites Contain Suspected Child Pornography

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a report that several social networking sites were allegedly created in Brevard County where images of suspected child pornography were posted.

According to Major Tod Goodyear, the sheriff’s office received information that several Internet sites linked to a popular photo sharing network containing screen names that referred to Brevard County were posting images.

Investigators are currently in the process of identifying these sites and determining if they have posted or contain inappropriate material.

CRIMELINE-200Agents are also trying to determine the origin of the sites and identify victims whose images may have appeared on the sites.
