6-Year-Old Boy on Scooter Collides With Car In Cocoa

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A six-year old boy was struck by a car today at about 1:45 p.m. and was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital with serious injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Robert Calderon, 49, of Cocoa was traveling southbound on Duncan Avenue as the boy was traveling eastbound on Allmont Street on an electric scooter.
The boy failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the front of Calderon’s 2012 Dodge Avenger.
This crash remains under investigation.
