BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The District 22 ToC continued Friday night with Junior baseball at Holder Park, which was broadcast on the “Friday Night Locker Room.”

Merritt Island Senior Little League, who was the home team, defeated Indian River City Little League 8 – 1 in 6 1/2 innings.

Jacob Foune hit a stand-up triple and Brenden Chamberlain scored the lone run for Indian River City to tie the game in the 5th inning.

The Merritt Island Seniors broke the game open with four runs in their half of the 5th and, added 3 more in the 6th.

JUNE 5 DISTRICT 22 REPORT

Junior baseball up at Holder Park was the only game in town.  Indian River City Little League (visitors) won over Cocoa Little League with a score of 9 – 5 in 7 innings.

JUNE 4 DISTRICT 22 REPORT

The Majors softball concluded at Rockledge Park when Port St. John Little League (home) claimed the title with a 7 – 4 win over Rockledge Little League in 6 innings. For Rockledge Little League, Mioka Robinson hit a triple.  For Port St. John Little League, Amethyst Crawford hit an in-the-park homer and Lena Procell had 2 triples.

Up at Holder Park, the Port St. JohnLittle League (home) Junior baseball won 12 – 3 over CocoaLittle League.

JUNE 3 DISTRICT 22 REPORT

LITTLE-LEAGUE-180-12The Majors softball continued at Rockledge Park.  Port St. John Little League (visitors) defeated Mims Little League 23 – 10 in 6 innings. Mims’s Rori Rhodes had a double for her team while Tavia Kearse had a triple for Port St. John.  Tomorrow’s matchup between Port St. John and Rockledge will determine the Major Softball Champion.

Up at Holder Park, the Rockledge Little League (visitors) Junior baseball team shut out Mims Little League 5 – 0 in 7 innings.  Colten Masten had a 2 RBI double for Rockledge.  This win put Rockledge at a 4-0 record for the tournament, claiming the Champion title for the Junior Baseball Division.  The remaining junior games at Holder Park will be played as scheduled.

JUNE 2 DISTRICT 22 REPORT

Junior baseball at Holder Park saw Rockledge Little League (home) win 11 – 4 over Cocoa Little League in 6 1/2 innings.

Down at Rockledge Park, Major softball got underway when Rockledge Little League (home) won over Mims Little League 15 – 5 in 4 innings.  Calie Madonna went 2 for 3 at the plate for Rockledge.

Also at Rockledge Park, Mims was the only team left in the Senior softball division.  Therefore, that division has been cancelled.
