RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Scotland hasn’t qualified for the World Cup Finals since 1998, but regardless of their absence from these finals in Brazil, they certainly have a presence.
Ten to Twelve Bob and Wallpaper Ricky are in Rio because – as they explained to Space Coast Daily – they’ve “just popped over for a beer.”
The Scots are renowned for being some of the world’s most passionate soccer fans – and these two kilted gentlemen certainly are doing their best to maintain that tradition.
And for those wondering about the origins of their unusual name, Ten to Twelve Bob is so-called because he bought a pocket watch in Bulgaria and it stopped – yes, you guessed it – at ten to twelve.
And Wallpaper Ricky? Well, can’t you guess? He’s been a decorator for as long as he can remember.
Plus … he has his own unique song – as our special international correspondent in Rio, Keith Malone, found out when he caught up with them strolling along Copacabana Beach and drawing in the crowds with their unique enthusiasm.
