Former Brevard Sheriff Celebrates 99th Birthday

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — Former Brevard County Sheriff Rollin Zimmerman celebrated his 99th birthday with friends and family at Cocoa Elks Lodge.
Guests included WFTV anchorman Bob Opsahl, Congressman Bill Posey and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
“Tonight, I had the honor of attending the 99th Birthday Celebration for Former Brevard County Sheriff Rollin Zimmerman who served as the Sheriff of Brevard County from 1977-1981,” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.
“Sheriff Zimmerman started his career with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in 1962 and served in various capacities to include Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Sheriff. In attendance tonight were many family, friends, co-workers, and former employees of Sheriff Zimmerman as well as various local dignitaries who each recalled memories of Sheriff Zimmerman’s impact on our community.
Sheriff Zimmerman was presented with a giant Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Birthday Card signed by many of our agency members as we all wish him a very Happy 99th Birthday!”
