Humane Society Now Accepting Pet Calendar Entries
By Space Coast Daily // July 10, 2014
pet photo submission deadline is Friday, July 18

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — It’s that time again for your pet to ‘strike a pose’ so dust off your camera, set up the lighting and get ready for your pet to be an instant celebrity or maybe even Mr. or Ms. July.

The Central Brevard Humane Society (CBHS) is proudly sponsoring their 23rd Annual “Best Pets of Brevard” photo contest for their 2015 calendar.
Don’t let this opportunity pass you by – it’s a chance to have your companion (furry, feathery or scaly) grace the cover of what has become an annual tradition.
The cost for each entry is $10 per “pet” photo.
To enter your pet into the “Best Pets of Brevard” photo contest, simply download a copy of the entry form by going to CritterSavers.com or stopping by the Humane Society (1020 Cox Rd., Cocoa), their Merritt Island Adoption Center (155 Pioneer Rd., Merritt Island) or visiting any of the (4) Molly Mutt Thrift Shops (Merritt Island, Melbourne, Rockledge and Palm Bay).

Once the form has been completed, mail it along with your “pet” photo and payment to the: Central Brevard Humane Society, Attn: 2015 “Best Pets of Brevard” Calendar Contest, 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa, FL 32926.
CONTEST GUIDELINES:
• Submitted photographs must be no bigger than 5″ x 7″ color photos (horizontal only); no black & white photos will be accepted for the contest. Original photos only. No electronic images.
• All calendar entries must be received – no later than Friday, July 18.
• All photos will remain property of the Central Brevard Humane Society and will not be returned.
Has your animal companion passed away? You can remember them by having their name, date of birth & death mentioned on the “In Memory of Page” of the calendar.
The cost is $50 per photo entry and those photos will be returned to you at the end of the contest. All proceeds from this fundraiser will help raise awareness and financial support for the “unwanted and abandoned” pets that visit the shelter and adoption center each year, who need a safe and loving “forever” home.
BREVARD’S OLDEST ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION
Founded in 1952, the Central Brevard Humane Society (CBHS) is Brevard County’s oldest established animal welfare organization.
A “no kill for space” shelter, CBHS is dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
The Humane Society educates the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, advocates for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population and provides the best quality care to Brevard’s abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring families in “forever” homes.
