TPD Arrests Franklyn Evans For Attempted Murder

11-MONTH SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police Detectives arrested Franklyn D. Evans, 29, of Titusville on Friday after an 11-month shooting investigation.

According to the Titusville Police Department, the arrest stems from a shooting that occurred on August 15, 2013 at 2413 Talmadge Drive in Titusville.

The 34-year-old victim was in critical condition after the shooting and faced a long road to recovery.  The victim has requested that their name be withheld and is still fearful of retribution.

Since the shooting, Titusville Detectives continued to work the case and leads were uncovered by both TPD Detectives, as well as Central Florida Crimeline.

Evans was charged with Attempted Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Convicted Felon.

Evans is in the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
