Former Space Shuttle Astronaut Mike McCulley On Hand To Meet and Greet Guests
BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – More than 125 people enjoyed a fun and fascinating evening at the Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral on Tuesday evening, hosted by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and the Exploration Tower.
Former Space Shuttle astronaut Mike McCulley was on hand to meet and greet the guests and gave an inspiring and fascinating talk about his experiences in space.
“Perhaps the most beautiful thing that I ever saw in space was the northern lights from Space,” said McCulley. “Looking back at the earth was always my favorite thing to do.”
The launch of the Atlas V was at 8:12 pm and thrilled the space fans in attendance.
“What a great evening this has been,” said Tara Ruch, Exploration Tower Sales and Marketing Manager, who was among those responsible for the terrific event. “We are honored to be hosting such great American heroes like Mike McCulley.”
“We are very proud to have hosted this event and we look forward to November 8 and 9 when we will host another great event in conjunction with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation.”
In November, there will be four exciting days featuring legendary astronauts, a casino night, an exclusive gala, astronaut lectures and a memorabilia auction.
