Katharine The Great White Returns To Cape Cod

ABOVE VIDEO: Katharine, a 14-foot great white shark, is tagged by OCEARCH, a non-profit organization devoted to researching apex predators in the ocean. Katharine, who was tagged off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, was named by Cat Products fans in honor of Katharine Lee Bates, a Cape Cod native and songwriter – best known for her poem and song “America The Beautiful”, which has been called “an expression of patriotism at its finest.”
CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS — After a spring and summer journey that included multiple passes of the Space Coast, Katharine, a 14-foot, 2,300-lb great white shark returned to northern waters, near Cape Cod, MA. Katharine’s most recent ping showed her moving toward coastal waters near Atlantic City.
