Since its inception, the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation has raised more than $1 million to assist, primarily through medical missions, the underserved in Brevard and around the world. The organization also raises funds for medical scholarships.

Shah is currently an active counselor for the Service Corps of Rewired Executives, or SCORE, which helps the local small business community thrive despite the many challenges it faces.

He advises potential small business owners on all aspects of running a business, from taxes, business plans and bank loans to product pricing, start-up needs and organizational best practices.

Shah is indeed the right man for the job, for in his 33-year career with Harris Corporation, Shah served as vice president of operations for one of the technology company’s major divisions.

After retiring from Harris, Shah struck out on his own, operating a software contract business from 1998 to 2004.

Earning a master’s degree graduate from Stanford University, Shah also worked with Stanford faculty doing research in advance communication applications.

In addition to his work with the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation, Shah is also active with IndiaFest, an annual event that not only raises awareness of the cultural and culinary riches of India, but also raises significant funds to help charities along the Space Coast as well as abroad.

To date, IndiaFest has raised approximately $3 million dollars.

For 10 years, Shah served the Brevard IndoAmerican Medical and Dental Association, or BIMDA. Like the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation, BIMDA has earned a well-deserved reputation for enriching the lives of people around the world.

Medical Expo and CME Symposium, like the Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation, draws professionals from throughout Florida for its medical expos and symposiums. Funds from these events in turn are distributed to many local and national charities.

They also make it possible for students interested in pursuing medical careers to earn scholarships that will help make their dreams of being healers a reality.
