BOB FREEMAN’S WEEKEND SURF REPORT

SURF REPORT FOR OCT 10-12

SURF REPORT FOR OCT. 10-12, 2014

FRIDAY: Waves early this morning are running in the knee- to thigh-high range with bumpy lines from a steady northeasterly wind.
This morning’s higher tide will prevent waves from breaking at many popular surf spots south of Cocoa Beach.
SATURDAY: Saturday’s surf will increase into the thigh-to waist-high range with cleaner conditions from a lighter northeast breeze.
SUNDAY: Sunday’s arrival of an Eastery groundswell will push wave heights up into the waist- to chest-high range along all of Brevard’s beaches. I believe we will have an on shore summer-like wind which will provide some fun lumps and bumps for shortboarders.
Ocean water temperatures are now in the upper 70s. Don’t forget to wear a rashguard and apply sunscreen.
