Erek Larson of Titusville Wins $1M Lottery Jackpot

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA  – The Florida Lottery announced that Erek Larson, 28, of Titusville, claimed a $1 million top prize in the 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 64 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $640 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2013-14.

He chose to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $740,432.97.

Larson purchased his winning ticket from Nidy’s Grocery, located at 2120 Garden Street in Titusville. The retailer received a bonus commission of $2,000 for selling the $1 million winning ticket.
