Palm Bay Police Investigating Homicide

Detectives with Palm Bay Police Department’s Major Case Unit are currently on scene at the 3300 block of Wedgewood Drive NE in Lighthouse Point Apartments, according to Yvonne Martinez, City of Palm Bay Public Information Coordinator.

PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Detectives with the Major Case Unit continue to investigate a domestic violence incident that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old female.

Griselle Martinez,22, Palm Bay died Monday from injuries suffered during the incident which occurred on Saturday at her home on Wedgewood Dr.  According to witnesses, Martinez and her boyfriend, Josiah Hadley, 21, were involved in a physical altercation that night. The circumstances surrounding the fight remain under investigation. 

“We are proceeding diligently to ensure a thorough investigation is conducted,” said Sgt. Michael Pusatere of the Major Case Unit.  “We are reviewing all of the witness statements and examining all of the physical evidence in conjunction with the medical examiner’s findings as to the cause and manner of death before making any charging decisions in this case.”

Detectives are working closely with the Medical Examiner’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office to ensure a thorough investigation.
