Doctors’ Goodwill Health Fair, CME Classes Set Today

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation will host a Healthy Living Fair and Insurance Expo, free education for physicians and medical personnel and the DGF Ambassador Awards Gala on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Tim Wakefield Ballroom .
The Healthy Living Fair and Insurance Expo will feature a wide variety of companies, exhibiting goods and services for the general public to learn more about the best options for healthy living.
The event will feature health information, health screenings and representatives from many health insurance providers. There will also be expert speakers who will present free talks for the public to learn about current health care topics.
Admission and parking are free to the health fair, which runs from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
Featured Speakers Include:
• 9- 9:15 a.m: “Health Insurance Update,” presented by Wellcare.
• 9:15 – 9:30 a.m.: “Macular Degeneration – How Baby Boomers Can Preserve Their Eyesight,” presented by Dr. Frank X. Venzara III of Florida Retina Specialists.
• 9:30 – 9:45 a.m.:. “Navigate Your Insurance Needs,” presented by Mark McDermott of President Health Market.
• 9:45 – 10:15 a.m.: “You Don’t Have To Live With Urinary Incontinence” presented by Dr. Marja Sprock of Central Florida Urogynecology.
• 10:15 -10:45 a.m.: “Eye Disease and Protecting Your Eyesight” presented by Dr. Hetal Vaishanav of The Eye Institute.
• 10:45 -11:15 a.m.: “Managing Your Pain” presented by Dr. Ashish Udeshi of Florida Pain Institute.
11:15 -11:45 a.m.: “Cancer & Wellness,” presented by Dr. Duff R. Sprawls of Space Coast Cancer Center. Exhibitor booths will be open to the public from 9 – 11:45 a.m.
Local hospitals with local physicians will provide various free health screenings for osteoporosis, hypertension, eye problems, PAD, autism and more.
There may be a minimal charge for some screenings.

The DGF Ambassador Awards will recognize and honor twenty four of Brevard county’s most important community leaders who support charities.
