Port St. John Man Struck, Killed By Car In Orlando

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Matthew Sconyers, 34, of Port St. John, was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night at about 9:20 p.m. near Colonial Drive and Melanie Drive in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Sekula Jovanovic, 31, was driving a 1995 Ford Mustang eastbound on Colonial Drive when Sconyers was attempting to cross Colonial Drive from the north to the south side of the road.

Sconyers, who was riding a bicycle, pulled into the direct path of Jovanovic, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The front of Jovanovic’s Mustang struck Sconyers, who was then ejected off his bicycle.

Jovanovic was uninjured and the crash remains under investigation.
