Titans Take Jacksonville, Set To Play Four At Home

ABOVE VIDEO: The men’s basketball team at Eastern Florida State College plays in the NJCAA and the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) which is the governing body for state college athletics in Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s men’s basketball team won its eighth game of the season on Monday defeating host Florida State College Jacksonville 97-55.

The Titans are 8-1.

“I’m really proud of the guys tonight for going on the road against a talented, well coached team and coming away with such a good victory,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jeremy Shulman who won his 97th game at EFSC.

“(Sophomore) Demetrius (McReynolds) was unbelievable tonight with 24 points and seven rebounds,” Shulman added.

Freshman Djordje Beronja had 18 points and eight rebounds. Freshman and Jacksonville resident Daishon Smith scored 14 points and notched three assists.

Sophomore Kyle Meyer had 10 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Landus Anderson saw his first action of the year. He played three minutes and hit two three-pointers.

“We go into Thanksgiving break 8-1 on the year and we are excited about an upcoming four-game home stand,” Shulman said.

The next four home games are 7 p.m. Dec. 2 against TAAG Academy; 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 against Cape Fear (North Carolina); 4 p.m. Dec. 6 against FSCJ; and 7 p.m. Dec. 10 against ASA-Miami.

Admission to EFSC home games is free.
