UPDATE: Cocoa Police Identify Lost Elderly Woman

5-feet tall, weighs 130 pounds and has gray hair

UPDATE FROM COCOA POLICE: 

“Thank you everyone for your very quick response posting the photo of our lovely found lady,” said Barbara Matthews, Cocoa Police Public Information Officer.    

COCOA-PD-BREAKING-180“Because of the media, police received calls from neighbors and her hair salon which led police to her family.

“Her family had been searching the area for her but had not called us yet.  Mrs. Gibson (77 years old) will be reunited with family shortly.  Mrs. Gibson was about a mile from home when she was found.  Again, thanks for the quick response.”

Assist Cocoa Police To Identify Lost Elderly Woman

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – An elderly woman was found wandering in the 3500 block of State Road 524 at about 9:30 Friday morning, according to the Cocoa Police Department.

A passer-by noticed the woman and contacted police.

The woman is a white female, approximately 5-feet tall, weighs 130 pounds and has gray hair. She is wearing black sandals, jeans, a red shirt with stars and a blue jacket.

The woman has been taken to the hospital, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cocoa Police Department immediately at 321-639-7620 – prompt 4.
