BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard County residents enjoyed kicking off the holiday season with the traditional Christmas parades in Merritt Island, Mims, Cocoa Beach and Palm Bay.

This morning, members of various units throughout the Brevard County Sheriff’s agency and their families participated in the Merritt Island Christmas Parade to help celebrate the holidays.

Members of the East Precinct, Motor Unit, Corrections K-9 Unit, Transportation Unit, Mounted Posse, Farm Work Crew Unit, Patrol Unit, Administration, Fleet Maintenance Unit, and Community Relations Unit all participated in the event.

We greatly appreciate the incredible show of support from everyone who was in attendance at the parade and know that we are truly blessed to serve in a community that partners with us to keep our community safe.
