Chainsaw Granny Creates Beautiful Nativity Scene

CLINTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two years ago June Merwin was traveling the world working for Pfizer. Now she’s mastered the chainsaw.
“It’s really fun because you create something,” says Merwin.
The 71-year old grandmother picked up this wood carving hobby and a chainsaw for the first time when she retired two years ago. She wanted to carve bears.
“I’ve always enjoyed seeing them when we went to Vermont, Alaska, and all that. So I just thought I’d try my hand at it,” says Merwin.
