BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s men’s basketball team went on a second-half tear, outscoring Tallahassee Community College by 18 points en route to a 76-66 upset at the College of Central Florida in Ocala on Sunday.
The victory, EFSC’s 10th straight, moved its record to 14-1. Tallahassee, which came into the game ranked second in Florida and 14th nationally, fell to 11-2.
EFSC came into the game ranked third in Florida and 24th nationally. The Titans struggled in the first half and trailed 37-29 at the break.
But the second half was a different story as EFSC outscored Tallahassee 47-29, building its biggest lead at 74-63.
EFSC shot 37.5 percent from the floor in the first half but recovered to shoot 52.4 percent in the second half.

“I am so hyped for our guys,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jeremy Shulman.
“This is a big time win.”
EFSC outrebounded Tallahassee 45-34 and enjoyed a 16-2 edge in second chance points. The Titans also were 15-for-17 from the free throw line.
Sophomore Kyle Meyer led the Titans with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Daishon Smith had his second big game in a row with 15 points. Sophomore Jermohn Queen and freshman Djordje Beronja added 11 points each.
