Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Investigate Monday Night Shooting

The Sheriff's Office responded to Burgess Avenue, near Port St. John, after an emergency 911 call was received regarding a 5-year-old girl that was found injured and bleeding on Thursday at approximately 4 p.m.
A shooting at Virginia Avenue and Fiske Boulevard at 8:48 p.m. on Monday sent one man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the 900 block of Virginia Avenue in the unincorporated area of Rockledge on Monday night.

Deputies responded to the area at approximately 8:45 p.m., in reference to a report of a man who had been shot.

Upon arrival, Deputies found a conscious male inside a vehicle who had been shot. The victim, who was cooperating with investigators, was transported to a local medical facility in serious condition.

The names of the victim and suspect are not being released at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit are processing the scene, collecting evidence throughout the night.
