BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Aaron A. Belka, 41, of Melbourne was struck and killed by a train Saturday night, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Florida East Coast Railroad notified the Melbourne Police Department at about 11 p.m. on Saturday that a southbound train struck a person on the FEC Railroad tracks, 100 yards north of Post Road.

Belka, of 1207 N. Pontiac Circle in Melbourne, was located near the tracks, killed from blunt force trauma as a result of being struck, according to police.

The Melbourne police said that the incident appears to be accidental and is currently conducting an investigation.
