BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Please join me in congratulating Deputy Richard Nelson with K-9 Partner Thor,Deputy Richard Nelson with K-9 Partner Rikki, and Deputy Richard Nelson with K-9 Partner Koi for successfully completing 480 hours of advanced training and certification in obedience, apprehension, and building searches.

The training was conducted by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Instructors with assistance from the Orange and Osceola County Sheriff’s Offices that assisted in the testing and certification of the teams.

Pursuant to this training, our newest team members will be attending Narcotics Detection School and then will be hitting the streets to help keep our community safe.
