BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The dream of home ownership is not always a reality for some families.

HABITAT-180Getting a hand up instead of a hand out is how Geraldo and Veronica Bonilla will make their dream come true.

On Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m., Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc. (Habitat), in partnership with Bank of America, will celebrate the newest family to become home owners.

Habitat for Humanity with the help of many community volunteers, renovated the house that the Bonilla family will now call their own.

“Owning our own home is a dream that we never thought we would be able to achieve but with the help of Habitat, Bank of America and all the people who volunteered, we are excited to be called home owners,” Veronica Bonilla added.

The public is invited to attend and join the celebration for the Bonilla family.

Bank of America donated the home through a larger partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, in which the bank donates vacant or abandoned properties that will be used to create affordable housing for low-income families across the country.
