Educational Seminar To Focus On Canine Sports Injuries

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Did you know one in three pets that participate in agility and competitive sports are expected to experience an injury during their lifetime?

Please join UF/Brevard County Extension Service for a free educational seminar addressing canine sports injuries and Arthroscopy.
The seminar will be presented by Dr. Scott Goett, a Board Certified Small Animal Surgeon, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Extension office, 3695 Lake Drive, in Cocoa.
Dr. Goett received his veterinary degree from the University of Florida.
In order to become a board certified surgeon, he also spent 5 years after veterinary school in internships and residency programs, had his clinical research published in Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Surgery Magazines and sat for a rigorous board examination.
It’s hosted by UF/IFAS Extension Brevard and Animal Emergency and Critical Care center of Brevard.
Topics will include types of injuries, prognosis, and treatment options. A question-and-answer period and refreshments will also be featured.
