Florida Tech’s Fronsoe Earns SSC Pitcher of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech right-hander Ashton Fronsoe has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week following an exceptional outing against Pace this past Friday.

In Florida Tech’s lowest offensive output of the season, the senior tossed 7.1 innings of three-hit ball, striking out a career-high 10 and walking just one in the Panthers’ 2-1 victory.

In allowing one unearned run, Fronsoe pick up his second win in as many tries and lowered his earned run average to a microscopic 0.73.

Additionally, Fronsoe retired the side in order in five of his innings of work.

Florida Tech added five more wins this week, including a four-game sweep of Pace in which it outscored the Setters by a combined 45-3.
