Junior Lifeguard Training Camp Offered At Joe Lee Smith Aquatic Center Beginning March 23
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Joe Lee Smith Aquatic Center in Cocoa will host a Junior Lifeguard camp March 23-27.
Classes will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Course participants will learn the basics of water safety and emergency response in the classroom and at the pool. Cost is $90. Interested candidates must be currently enrolled in 6th through 9th grade.
Participants who attend all classes will receive American Red Cross certification in Junior Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR.
Participants will also be invited to serve as a Junior Lifeguard at Central Area Parks & Recreation summer aquatics programs.

Palm Bay Aquatic Center Now Interviewing Lifeguards And Water Safety Instructors
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is now interviewing Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors with current American Red Cross certification.
The center is located at 420 Community College Parkway, just south of the Eastern Florida State College Campus.
Interested candidate should call the aquatic center at 321-952-2232 to set up an interview day and time.
Candidates will be required to bring a copy of their current American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding and/or Water Safety Instruction.
They should also review their skills before the interview as questions will be asked to verify the applicants understanding of the skills.

Lifeguard Training Offered At Palm Bay Aquatic Center
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Aquatic Center will offer an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course beginning March 10.
The center is located at 420 Community College Parkway, just south of the Eastern Florida State College Campus.
Class dates and times are 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 10, 12, 17, & 19; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 15 & 22. The cost is $250 and includes book and a CPR mask.
The course will certify participants in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.
Participants must be 15 years of age to participate and pass a swim test consisting of a 300 yard swim, 10 pound brick retrieval at a depth of 10 feet, and two minute treading water (legs only). Participants must be present for all class days and times.
