FIT Lacrosse Ranked No. 15 in Nike Magazine For Div. II

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s men’s lacrosse team is ranked for the first time in program history. The Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II rankings have the Panthers at No. 15 in this week’s poll, announced on Monday.

FIT is 2-0 this season after defeating Tusculum College 13-11 in the season opener and knocking off previous No. 15 Lenoir-Rhyne 13-12 in its last game.

In both games the Panthers jumped out to early leads then fought off late comebacks from their opponents.

Junior attackman Jason Terry is leading FIT in goals this season. He’s notched five goals in each of his team’s games for a total of 10. Terry currently ranks second in the nation in goals, according to

The Wynne brothers have been stellar for the Panthers, as well, with a combined 13 points this season.

Nick Wynne has been instrumental in creating scoring opportunities for his team, dishing out six assists to go along with one goal. Zack Wynne is the second leading goal scorer on the team with four this season in addition to two assists.

Florida Tech’s next game is at home on Monday, March 2 against No. 9 Mount Olive.

Start time is 7 p.m. at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium.
