Poll Reveals Most Millennials Don’t Know Own Senators

By  //  February 5, 2015

A recent poll by titled  Fusion’s Massive Millennial Poll, which surveyed 1,000 people aged 18-34 on a wide-range of social and political questions.

Portions of the political survey revealed a strong preference for Hillary Clinton, but more than two thirds of the youth polled failed to name a single U.S. Senator from their home state.

According to the poll, 77 percent of Millenials can’t name either Senator from their state. Economic growth, health care and education ranked among the most important issues.

Perhaps the least surprising statistic of the poll, 24 percent of youth said they would be more likely to vote if they could do so via their cell phone, while five percent said voting by cell phone would make them less likely to participate.
