BURTON TO build first home on Nana’s House land

Children from newborns to 10-year-olds can stay until their parents are again able to care for them, be it a year or 15. “We want them to know they are valuable, that they have a purpose,” said Nana’s House founder Kim Frodge. “We operate Nana’s House like a normal family home, not a group home.”

Nana’s House Dedicated To Providing Safe, Secure, Loving Christian Home
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Outside it was a cold, cold night, but inside, the Crown Plaza Hotel was filled with warm hearts.
All were there to raise funds for and celebrate the success of Nana’s House, an organization dedicated to providing a safe, secure, loving Christian home for neglected, abused, needy or abandoned children.
The gala included a silent auction, dinner and dancing.
The highlight of the evening came when Christopher Burton, CEO of Christopher Burton Homes, stepped forward to announce his commitment to build the first of eight proposed new homes on Nana’s House land.
The new homes will be designed to house five children per home, in a gated community at the intersection of Minton and Eber Roads.
Nana’s House is seeking seven more builders to commit to one house each in what will be a gated community of homes and recreational facilities.
Nana’s House presently cares for eight children in two homes. Their work is 100 percent community funded – they receive no state or federal money, according to Kim Frodge, executive director.
The organization raises funds through two thrift cottages, in-kind donations and from contractors and other members of the community.
Christopher Burton Homes has built more than 200 luxury custom homes in prestigious communities of Brevard County since the business was started in 1998.
The company’s Inspirations Home Design Center is a 4015 North Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne.
