Florida Tech Men’s Lacrosse Now Ranked No. 12 In Latest Poll

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech has received its highest ranking in program history.

The Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II Poll and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Poll have the Panthers at No. 12 in this week’s rankings, announced on Monday.

FIT is 6-1 this season, including two wins over ranked opponents. The Panthers defeated then No. 15 Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb. 14 and former No. 15 Wheeling Jesuit on March 9. The Panthers’ only loss came against then No. 9 Mount Olive on March 2.

Sophomore Daniel Errett leads the Panthers with 24 points this season, on 18 goals and six assists, while junior Jason Terry paces the team with 20 goals. Senior Andrew Conley and junior Nick Wynne are tied for third on the team with 20 points apiece.

The Sunshine State Conference is also represented by the University of Tampa, seated at No. 8 in the magazine poll and No. 9 in the coaches’ poll.

Florida Tech hosts Saint Michael’s at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium.
