AFP-Americans-for-Prosperity-logo-180TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL), the state’s leading grassroots advocacy organization, applauds the leadership of Speaker Crisafulli and the members of the Florida House for standing strong for Florida families and taxpayers this session.

The House rejected Medicaid expansion, put an end to crony handouts to the film and sports industries, increased pension reform flexibility and expanded access to school choice.

“The House stood strong and negotiated in good faith,” stated AFP-FL state director, Chris Hudson.

“Meanwhile, the Senate continues to stall a tax cut package that would help Floridians. The Senate should follow the House’s leadership, pass the tax cut package, and go home!”

It is expected that the legislature will be called back by Governor Scott to pass the budget.

“AFP’s over 146,000 activists across Florida will remain ready to fight any proposal that would harm Florida families, pick winners and losers, or waste their hard-earned tax dollars,” said Hudson.
