Brevard Heart Foundation Offers Scholarships

Awards given to Students in health care field
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Heart Foundation is accepting applications for Scholarship/Awards beginning April 1 to May 31.
BHF was established in 1957 and then later obtained a non-profit status to promote quality health care in Brevard County.
The main focus of the foundation is to offer Scholarship/Awards to students who are Brevard County residents or graduated from a Brevard County school.
Scholarship/Awards are given for Medical Students, Nursing Students, Nurse Practitioner, and Physical Assistant Students.
The Brevard Heart Foundation has provided over $500,000 in medical student scholarships, and we are pleased to offer the following scholarships on an annual basis.
Nursing Scholarships
Nursing scholarships are available to any student either attending a Brevard County nursing program, or if you graduated from a Brevard County High School. You must have been accepted into a nursing program or already be enrolled before applying.
The “Nancy Meisenheimer Nursing Scholarship,” named after a dedicated nurse who served in Brevard County, is awarded annually to students at Eastern Florida State College.
Physician Assistant Scholarships
In 2004 the Foundation board elected to expand its scholarship program to include Physician Assistant Scholarships in recognition of the need for additional Physician Assistants in Brevard County.
Medical School Scholarships
Medical student scholarships are available to any student who graduated from a Brevard County High School. You must have been accepted into a medical program or already be enrolled before applying.
Transitional Scholarships
Transitional Scholarships are full tuition paid scholarships through the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Eastern Florida State College. These scholarships are awarded through our partner organizations such as the Brevard Women’s Center, and can be awarded at any time.
