POLICE LOCATE SUSPECT IN COCOA

Viera High School, Satellite High School, DeLaura Middle School and Holland Elementary School are all in lockdown due to an unspecified police investigation, according to Brevard Public School authorities.

UPDATE: 6:25 p.m.

According to the Satellite Beach Police, a threat was made to a female student at Satellite High by her ex-boyfriend on a text message.

Brevard County Schools administrators then ordered the lockdown of Satellite High School, DeLaura Middle School, Holland Elementary School and Viera High School.

The police conducted a search for the ex-boyfriend at Satellite High School, who threatened to “shoot it up” and also shoot the girl’s boyfriend.

Following leads from social media, police located the 22-year old man at Lee Wenner Park in Cocoa and took him into custody.

The lockdowns were then cancelled by Brevard County Schools administrators.
