BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department conducted a search warrant of a residence in Melbourne and arrested a male suspect.

Jedehiah Poulsen, 36, was charged with Possession of Marijuana with more than 20 grams, Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The police department received a tip that the suspect at 660 Short Hills Lane in Melbourne had a large amount of cannabis inside his house and was preparing it for sale.

According to agents, Sergeant Brian Dohaney and Officers Urian D’Errico and William Gleason responded to the house to investigate.

When the team arrived at the house they smelled an overwhelming odor of cannabis coming from the inside of the residence.

The officers immediately called out the Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit.

Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit obtained a search warrant and searched the house for the narcotics.

During the search, officers found over a 120 grams of cannabis in 20 different mason jars, according to investiagtors.

According to investigators, they found all of the items were signs of a sales operation. They found scales, smoking devices and small baggies.

The mason jars had what appeared to be prescription labels from Washington State claiming them to be medical cannabis, according to investigators.

Detectives also found cannabis oils known as “wax” which is a hardened form of the oils from a cannabis plant and is more potent and dangerous.

A small amount can be added to different smoking devices such as vaporizers and is known to cause hallucinations and psychosis.

All the narcotics were seized and the detectives were able to make an arrest on Jedehiah Poulsen.CRIMELINE-200
