Lawrence Bond of Tennessee Arrested
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the GAMEOVER Task Force, arrested 57-year-old Lawrence Bond of Sevierville, Tennessee, as a fugitive from justice.
On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office was alerted that Bond may be traveling to Brevard County.
According to Cpl. David Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Patrol Deputies spotted Bond on I-95 riding a motorcycle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Bond refused to stop and fled south at a high rate of speed.
The Sheriff’s Aviation Unit followed Bond to a location where a stop could be conducted safely.
Bond, believing he had evaded the Deputies, turned down a dead end road in Cocoa where Agents conducted a traffic stop and safely apprehend Bond without incident. He was in possession of a shotgun and ammunition on his motorcycle at the time of his arrest.
Bond was wanted on charges for Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Sexual Battery, and Aggravated Robbery. Bond was additionally charged with Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement and Unlawful Possession of a Hidden Handcuff Key.
He was transported the Brevard County Jail on a no-bond status pending extradition to Sevierville, Tennessee.
“This is a very violent fugitive who was effectively removed from our community today,” said Brevard County Sheriff WayneIvey.
“I am very proud of our Deputies and Agents who coordinated their efforts to prevent any harm to our citizens.”
