BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Deputy Nick Worthy was recently awarded the Silver Star for Bravery from the American Police Hall of Fame for his heroic actions in a recent incident.

On March 9, Deputy Worthy responded to an in-progress call of a armed subject who was randomly shooting into vehicles and houses in a neighborhood.

Upon arrival in the area the subject immediately started shooting at Deputy Worthy as he exited his patrol car.

The subject continued to advance and fire on Deputy Worthy who returned fire and killed the subject within feet from Deputy Worthy’s location.
