Health First Medical Group Cardiologist Will Be Presenter At the International Atherosclerosis Society Congress
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Health First Medical Group Cardiologist Dr. Khalid Sheikh, FACC, FACP, will be a presenter at the International Atherosclerosis Society May 23-26 in Amsterdam.
With several thousand cardiovascular specialists, scientists and clinical investigators from around the world in attendance, ISA2015 is the largest congress with a single focus on atherosclerosis.
Dr. Sheikh will be presenting his lipid/cholesterol clinical data at the four-day event in May. This year’s ISA2015 theme is Translating Atherosclerosis Research into Novel Therapies for Humans.
ISA exists to coordinate the exchange of scientific information among the constituent societies, to foster research into the development of atherosclerosis, and to help translate this knowledge into improving the effectiveness of programs designed to prevent and treat this disease.
Dr. Sheikh is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases.
His professional focuses include invasive cardiology, consultative cardiology, echocardiography, adult congenital heart disease, preventative cardiology, clinical research trials and cholesterol management.
