BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – West Shore Jr./Sr., Edgewood Jr./Sr. and Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. have been ranked as a U.S. News 2015 Best High School.

Every year, a U.S. News & World Report team assembles to determine the top ranked high schools throughout the nation.

To produce the rankings, the team first ensures that the schools serve students well, and it uses students’ performance on the math and reading parts of their state proficiency tests as the benchmarks.

Next, the team assesses the degree to which schools prepare students for college-level work.

Centered on these criteria, data is collected and schools are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance.
