BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Jennifer Forester of Manatee Elementary in Viera was recently honored by Brevard Public Schools as the May super hero of the month.
Forester is a second grade teacher who spends her summers in Honduras and in the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky.
She takes boxes of school supplies to the children in Honduras.
“I have gone to the Appalachian Mountains and help kids that are very, very poor and help them learn how to read,” said Forester.
“I’ve also gone down to Honduras and just tried to love on them and just try to show commitment and that someone cares about them.”
