Mims Brush Fire Reaches More Than 100 Acres, Brevard Fire Has Blaze 80 Percent Contained

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Fire Rescue is assisting Florida Forest Service with a brush fire that occurred in the Buck Lake Conservation area yesterday afternoon, according Brevard County Fire Rescue.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the brush fire was the result of a lightning strike that occurred yesterday afternoon. The fire has now grown to more than 100 acres.

ABOVE MAP: This fire is in the Buck Lake Conservation area, between Buck Lake Conservation Area and the Fawn Lake Subdivision off SR46 in Mims.
