Mims Brush Fire Reaches More Than 100 Acres, Brevard Fire Has Blaze 80 Percent Contained

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Fire Rescue is assisting Florida Forest Service with a brush fire that occurred in the Buck Lake Conservation area yesterday afternoon, according Brevard County Fire Rescue.
According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the brush fire was the result of a lightning strike that occurred yesterday afternoon. The fire has now grown to more than 100 acres.
This fire is in the Buck Lake Conservation area, between Buck Lake Conservation Area and the Fawn Lake Subdivision off SR46 in Mims
