BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department issued this Scam Alert on Saturday via the department’s Facebook page:

Please be aware there are people representing themselves as Capital Connect (alarm company) and wanting to sell home alarm systems or upgrade the home owners present one.

They are hinting they are connected with A.D.T, which is not true.

They are carrying laptops with them and getting people to sign a contract on the computer or giving them a phone number to call getting people’s personal information and banking information.

This is a scam!
